The Home Builders Association of Durham, Orange & Chatham Counties (HBA DOC) is proud to launch our first-ever “Candidate School” — a nonpartisan initiative designed to empower and educate individuals in our community who are considering a run for public office.

Whether you're thinking about running for town or city council, a local board, or another elected position, this program will provide you with the foundational knowledge, tools, and confidence to take the next step in your leadership journey. From campaign planning and community engagement to understanding the responsibilities of public service, Candidate School will offer practical insights and real-world guidance from experienced leaders.
